透明细胞软骨肉瘤是少见的一种亚型，与软骨母细胞瘤有些相似，恶性程度介于Ⅰ～Ⅱ级中心性软骨肉瘤之间。位于骨骺或骨凸，好发于股骨近端、肱骨近端、扁平骨和短骨。

发病病因

1.肉眼所见：肿瘤质软，为模糊的软骨样物质，有时有骨样物质，可为颗粒状，肿瘤常为红色或血色。 2.镜下所见：肿瘤为叶状组织，透明细胞的核微于中心，胞浆丰富而透明，P.A.S.染色强阳性，多形性明显，有丝分裂像少见，在分叶的周边，细胞多并可见反应性多核巨细胞，在这些细胞之间可见分化好的软骨肉瘤细胞，相当于Ⅰ～Ⅱ级软骨肉瘤，有时在细胞间可有钙化(像软骨母细胞瘤中的一样)，有时可见类骨质产物(反应性)，有时这些可在胞浆中。

是一种恶性软骨瘤，是发生于成人的类型，它也少见，呈低度恶性，预后比其它软骨肉瘤好。
