Neonatal persistent pulmonary hypertension

PPHN is persistent elevated pulmonary vascular resistance after birth causing right-to-left shunt and hypoxemia, common in term/post-term infants. Oxygen, ventilator, and pulmonary vasodilators are used.

Causes

Persistent fetal circulation, perinatal asphyxia.

Oxygen, iNO, ventilator
