脾肿大
Splenic infarction is ischemic necrosis of splenic tissue caused by occlusion of the splenic artery or its branches, usually from embolus (endocarditis), thrombosis, sickle-cell disease, hypercoagulable state, or infiltrative disease. Often presents with left-upper-quadrant pain and fever; small infarcts may be asymptomatic.
Left-upper-quadrant pain; fever; pleuritic pain; nausea
Arterial occlusion by embolus/thrombosis leads to ischemic coagulative necrosis of splenic parenchyma.
Supportive care; analgesia; treat underlying cause (anticoagulation, endocarditis); surgery if rupture/abscess
Control embolic sources; anticoagulate as indicated; treat hypercoagulable states.
It is recommended to visit the Hematology department; an appointment can be booked on this platform before the visit.
