囊肿、结节、肌肉萎缩
The subacromial bursa, also called the subdeltoid bursa, is one of the largest bursae in the body, located below the acromion, coracoacromial ligament and deep fascia of the deltoid, and above the rotator cuff and greater tuberosity of the humerus. When the shoulder is abducted and internally rotated, this bursa slides under the acromion along with the greater tuberosity and cannot be palpated. The subacromial bursa has many projections, most obvious where it extends into the subacromial region. In addition, the bursa floor attached to the supraspinatus is small while the free edge is large, which is favorable for shoulder movement; thus the subacromial bursa is very important for shoulder movement and is called the second shoulder joint.
Cyst; nodule; muscle atrophy
Most cases are secondary to injury and degenerative changes of periarticular shoulder tissue, especially injury and degeneration of the supraspinatus tendon at the bursa floor; because the supraspinatus tendon lies at the bottom of the subacromial bursa, acute or chronic supraspinatus injury also damages the bursa, secondarily causing non-specific subacromial bursitis. The subacromial bursa, also called the subdeltoid bursa, is divided into subacromial and subdeltoid parts with a thin septum between them, though most communicate; the bursa separates the greater tuberosity from the deltoid and acromion. Due to injury or long-term compression and friction, the bursa wall shows aseptic inflammatory reactions such as congestion, edema, exudation, hyperplasia, thickening and adhesion. Calcium salt deposits in the supraspinatus tendon breaking through into the bursa are also a cause. Rheumatism, tuberculosis and gout can also induce the disease to some extent.
Medication, supportive treatment, rehabilitation therapy
It may result from direct or indirect trauma, supraspinatus tendon injury or degeneration, and long-term compression and stimulation, such as falls, collisions, and sudden braking while riding. Pay attention to living habits; high-risk workers such as construction and mining workers and drivers should protect themselves. Stay calm to avoid emotional conflict that may trigger the disease. Early detection, diagnosis and treatment are also important for prevention.
It is recommended to visit the orthopedic surgery department; before the visit you may first book an appointment and connect with experts through this platform.
