Tubal pregnancy means the ovum is fertilized in the ampulla but the zygote is blocked and implants/develops in the tube. Ampullary commonest (50%-70%), isthmic next (30%-40%), fimbrial/interstitial rarest (1%-2%). Typical cases have acute abdominal pain, short amenorrhea and irregular spotting, often with primary/secondary infertility; exam shows enlarged tender tube on the affected side; heavy internal bleeding causes hemorrhagic shock. Doubtful cases use auxiliary tests.
