Uterine fibroid is the commonest benign tumor of female genitalia and one of the commonest human tumors, also called fibromyoma/uterine fibroid. As it mainly arises from uterine smooth-muscle hyperplasia with a little fibrous connective tissue as support, uterine leiomyoma is the more precise term.

Pre-existing leiomyoma complicating pregnancy.

Treatment

Monitor; surgery if torsion/red degeneration
