Clinically, ovarian tumor patients have reduced conception, but usually the tumor precedes pregnancy. When pregnancy coexists with ovarian tumor, malignancy is relatively rare. Endocrine factors: nulliparous women have 2x ovarian cancer risk of parous women; low parity raises risk; early first pregnancy, early menopause and oral contraceptives lower risk, suggesting reduced ovulation reduces epithelial damage and risk. Breast/endometrial cancer with functional ovarian cancer is higher.
