Hemorrhagic salpingitis

Hemorrhagic salpingitis is a special type of acute salpingitis: bleeding in the tubal interstitium breaks through the mucosa into the lumen and even flows from the fimbria into the peritoneal cavity, causing tubal and intraperitoneal hematocele. Rarely reported abroad; in China it was often misdiagnosed, but reports have risen in the last decade and it is now recognized as an acute gynecologic abdomen.

Common Symptoms

Menstrual bleeding; station doctor; ectopic pregnancy; abdominal pain; persistent pain; dizziness; amenorrhea; nausea; lower abdominal pain; hypotension

Causes

Not fully clear; the pathogen is unknown; it may follow gynecologic surgery, with inflammatory bleeding into the tube and peritoneum.

Treatment

Antibiotics, supportive care, surgery when needed

Prevention

Avoid post-surgery infection risk.
