Endometritis

Endometritis is inflammation of the endometrium, common in women. By course it is acute or chronic. Acute inflammation may cause diffuse peritonitis, sepsis and even septic shock.

Common Symptoms

Chills; decidual reaction; pelvic heaviness pain; purulent-bloody discharge; lower abdominal distending pain; heavy menses; dysmenorrhea; Yi Yupin; lumbosacral ache

Causes

Chronic endometritis: the basal endometrium does not shed with the functional layer, so basal infection long infects the functional layer; tuberculous endometritis shares this mechanism.

Antibiotics, treat cause

Prevention

Menstrual hygiene, treat acute infection.
