Leukoplakia of the cervix is a gray-white opaque plaque-like lesion on the vaginal part of the cervix. Most scholars think the visible white patch only indicates varying epithelial hyperplasia; with deeper study of cervical precancerous/early lesions and wide colposcopy, attention has grown. Grossly, white opaque patchy areas appear on the cervix, varying in size/shape, usually small under 1 cm, single or multiple; in some the patch extends to the vaginal vault, gray-white or slightly brighter than surrounding pink mucosa.
