Common symptoms

牙疼、牙釉质腐蚀、牙齿遇冷热痛、牙齿裂纹

The pathology of disease

Pulpitis is inflammation of dental pulp, usually from caries/trauma/restoration, either reversible (sharp transient pain, no spontaneous) or irreversible (severe spontaneous/night pain, prolonged thermal response). Treatment: reversible - remove caries, indirect/Direct pulp cap, restoration; irreversible - root canal therapy or extraction; analgesics; antibiotics if spreading infection; avoid extreme temperatures; follow-up; oral hygiene; treat caries preventively.

Common Symptoms

Causes and Pathogenesis

Caries/trauma/restoration irritates pulp, causing inflammation and possible necrosis.

Treatment

Reversible: pulp cap/restoration; irreversible: root canal/extraction; analgesics; antibiotics if infection

Preventive Measures
