Common symptoms

角膜色膜环、视力障碍、角膜溃疡、睫状充血

The pathology of disease

Corneal arcus (arcus senilis) is a gray-white lipid ring in the peripheral corneal stroma, common in the elderly and benign. In patients under 40 (arcus juvenilis) it may be associated with hyperlipidemia and warrants lipid screening. It does not threaten vision. Treatment: reassurance in the elderly; screen/treat dyslipidemia in younger patients.

Common Symptoms

Causes and Pathogenesis

Deposition of lipid in peripheral corneal stroma; age-related or dyslipidemia in the young.

Treatment

Reassurance; lipid screening/treatment if under 40

Preventive Measures
