Pemphigus Herpetiformis

Pemphigus herpetiformis is a pemphigus variant presenting with pruritic urticarial/vesicular herpetiform eruption (IgG anti-desmoglein). Treatment: systemic corticosteroids; steroid-sparing agents (azathioprine/mycophenolate); dapsone for pruritus/vesicles; wound care; monitor for progression; follow-up dermatology.

Causes and Pathogenesis

Anti-desmoglein IgG causes acantholysis with herpetiform pattern.
