Parapsoriasis is group of chronic benign scaly erythematous plaques (small-plaque: benign digitate; large-plaque: pre-mycosis fungoides), on trunk/proximal extremities. Treatment: topical corticosteroids; vitamin-D analogs; emollients; phototherapy (NB-UVB/PUVA); biopsy to rule out mycosis fungoides (especially large-plaque); long-term follow-up for large-plaque; reassurance for small-plaque; follow-up dermatology.
Chronic scaly erythematous plaques; trunk/proximal extremities
Chronic T-cell infiltrate causes scaly plaques; large-plaque may progress to MF.
Topical steroids; vitamin-D analogs; phototherapy; monitor for MF
Long-term follow-up; biopsy of atypical lesions.
