Dermatographism

Dermatographism is symptomatic linear whealing on stroking/trauma to skin (urticaria factitia), presenting with pruritic linear weals within minutes of pressure/scratch. Treatment: H1 antihistamines; avoid scratching/tight clothing/trauma; emollients; reassurance; treat underlying chronic urticaria; omalizumab for severe; follow-up allergy/dermatology.
