Callus (callosity) is hyperkeratotic thickened yellow skin on pressure/friction areas (palms/soles/knuckles), from chronic friction/pressure. Treatment: paring/debridement; keratolytics (salicylic/urea/lactic acid); moisturizers; orthotics/padding; shoe/gloves modification; avoid pressure/friction; treat underlying deformity/bony prominence; treat secondary infection; follow-up dermatology/podiatry; distinguish from wart/corn/porokeratosis.
