Condyloma Acuminatum (Genital Warts)

性病科

Common symptoms

丘疹、阴道分泌物增多、外阴起疙瘩、血尿、鳞状上皮、尿道弥漫性浸润、瘙痒、湿疣

The pathology of disease

Condyloma acuminatum (genital/venereal warts) is an STD caused by HPV. Incubation ~3 months (3 weeks to >8 months average). Mostly sexually active people, peak 20-30 years. Clinical: pointed, moist-surfaced papillary warts.

Common Symptoms

Papule; increased vaginal discharge; vulvar papules; hematuria; squamous epithelium; diffuse urethral infiltration; pruritus; condyloma

Causes and Pathogenesis

Unclean sex between partners is the main cause. Sexually transmitted; patients are the main reservoir, fast spread, high infection rate. Low immunity also predisposes; contact with patient secretions/fomites (towels, basins, clothes, toilet seats) transmits. Trauma: HPV enters via small skin/mucosal breaks and multiplies—care for cuts.

Treatment

Drug therapy, supportive therapy

Preventive Measures

Control STDs; treat patients/partners; health education; condoms protect against HPV (no vaccine yet). Personal hygiene; daily vulvar washing; separate basins; change/air bedding; showers (not tub baths); reduce partner number; avoid promiscuity.

Department to Visit

It is recommended to visit the STD department; an appointment can be booked on this platform before the visit.
