Nasolabial fold redness/fissuring; scale; papule; bacterial infection; pruritus
T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. schoenleinii, M. ferrugineum, M. canis. Spread from hand/foot/groin/nail/scalp tinea. Host resistance; diabetes/wasting diseases predispose. Direct/indirect contact via contaminated tubs/towels.
Drug therapy, supportive therapy
Treat hand/foot/groin/nail/scalp tinea; avoid cats/dogs; systemic workup for chronic adult tinea corporis; frequent underwear changes; treat groin/foot/hand tinea simultaneously; dry body; loose underwear; reduce sweating.
