Familial tendency; solitary/multiple types. Loose connective tissue like papillary dermis with many capillaries. Three histologic types: (1) filiform (hyperkeratosis/acanthosis/papillomatosis, dilated lymphatics, 30% have nevus cells); (2) pedunculated (thin epidermis, flat basal cells with deep pigment, mature fat center); (3) papular (hyperkeratosis, regular acanthosis, occasional horn cysts).
Surgery
No effective prevention.
