Chondroid syringoma (formerly mixed tumor of skin) was recognized in 1961 as epithelial with secondary stromal change; now preferred term. Benign sweat gland tumor analogous to salivary mixed tumor; composed of epithelial cells and chondroid/myxoid stroma.
