Loffler endocarditis (eosinophilic endomyocardial disease) is endomyocardial fibrosis with eosinophilic infiltration, usually associated with hypereosinophilic syndrome, presenting with restrictive heart failure and mural thrombosis. Treatment: treat underlying eosinophilia; corticosteroids; anticoagulation; heart-failure therapy; surgical endocardiectomy for advanced restrictive disease.
