Ventricular Arrhythmia

心内科

Common symptoms

驻站医、活动后气促、心慌气短、室性早搏、心慌、心室纤颤

The pathology of disease

Ventricular arrhythmia is arrhythmia originating from the ventricles, including ventricular premature contractions, nonsustained/sustained VT, torsades de pointes, and ventricular fibrillation. Clinical: palpitations, syncope, sudden death. Treatment: treat underlying cause (ischemia/cardiomyopathy/electrolytes); antiarrhythmics (amiodarone/lidocaine); cardioversion/defibrillation for unstable; ICD for structural heart disease; catheter ablation for recurrent/idiopathic VT.

Common Symptoms

Palpitations/syncope; wide-QRS arrhythmia; structural heart disease; risk of sudden death

Causes and Pathogenesis

Reentry/automaticity in diseased ventricles causes ventricular arrhythmias.

Treatment

Treat cause; antiarrhythmics; cardioversion/defibrillation; ICD; ablation for recurrent

Preventive Measures

Treat ischemia/cardiomyopathy; ICD for SCD risk; correct electrolytes.
