Common symptoms

便鲜红血呈点滴...、痢疾、上消化道出血、肠出血、黑便、老人便秘、结肠息肉、粪便排出过程异常、经期便血

The pathology of disease

Hematochezia is passage of bright red/maroon blood per rectum, indicating lower-GI bleeding (diverticulosis/angiodysplasia/hemorrhoids/IBD/ischemic colitis/tumor), or brisk upper-GI bleed. Treatment: resuscitation (IV fluids/blood transfusion); stabilize; bowel prep; colonoscopy for localization/therapeutic control (clipping/cautery/epinephrine); mesenteric angiography with embolization if colonoscopy fails; surgical resection if massive/recurrent; PPI empirically if upper-GI source suspected; monitor vitals/hemoglobin; follow-up.

Common Symptoms

Bright red/maroon blood per rectum; by diverticular/angiodysplasia/IBD/hemorrhoids

Causes and Pathogenesis

Lower-GI mucosal vascular bleeding causes fresh blood.

Treatment
