Gastric bleeding is upper-GI bleeding from gastric source (peptic ulcer/gastritis/gastric varix/gastric tumor/Mallory-Weiss tear), presenting with hematemesis/melena and anemia. Treatment: resuscitation (IV fluids/blood products); IV PPI; emergent upper endoscopy within 24h (sooner for active bleed); endoscopic hemostasis (injection epinephrine/clips/cautery); treat varices (band ligation/sclerotherapy/octreotide/TIPS); surgery/interventional radiology if refractory; treat underlying cause (H. pylori/NSAID/tumor); monitor hemoglobin/vitals; follow-up.

Gastric mucosal/vascular erosion causes bleeding.
Resuscitation; PPI; endoscopy with hemostasis; surgery/IR if refractory
Treat H. pylori; limit NSAIDs; treat varices/tumor early.
