Pick disease is a frontotemporal lobar degeneration characterized by Pick bodies (tau-positive inclusions) and focal frontal/temporal lobe atrophy. Clinical: early personality/behavior change (disinhibition/apathy/hyperorality) and language decline (progressive aphasia), with relative memory sparing early. Onset in late middle age. There is no disease-modifying therapy; treatment is supportive, with management of behavioral symptoms and caregiver support.
