血液科

Common symptoms

骨髓造血细胞再生障碍、贫血、血红蛋白尿、头晕、乏力、造血功能障碍、心悸

The pathology of disease

Aplastic anemia (AA) is a disease in which physical, chemical, biological or unknown factors severely damage marrow hematopoietic stem cells and the marrow microenvironment, causing reduced or failed marrow hematopoiesis; it is a syndrome with pancytopenia as the main presentation.

Common Symptoms

Anemia; bleeding tendency; recurrent infection; fatigue; pallor; petechiae

Causes and Pathogenesis

Causes: (1) Idiopathic; (2) secondary - drugs (chloramphenicol, antineoplastics), benzene/toxins, radiation, viral hepatitis, EBV, immune disease. Pathogenesis: T-cell-mediated autoimmune destruction of hematopoietic stem cells plus marrow microenvironment damage, leading to fatty marrow and pancytopenia.

Treatment

Supportive care; antithymocyte globulin/cyclosporine; androgens; stem-cell transplant

Preventive Measures

Avoid benzene/toxin exposure; rational drug use; avoid excessive radiation; treat early.

Department to Visit
