血小板增多、动脉粥样硬化
Secondary (reactive) thrombocytosis is platelet elevation caused by an underlying condition: infection/inflammation, iron deficiency, post-splenectomy state, malignancy, acute hemorrhage, tissue injury, or drugs (corticosteroids, epinephrine). It is usually reactive, transient, and carries lower thrombotic risk than essential thrombocythemia; platelets are functionally normal.
Often asymptomatic; underlying fever/inflammation; bleeding/thrombosis rare
Cytokines (IL-6, thrombopoietin) from inflammation/stress/injury stimulate marrow megakaryopoiesis, raising platelet count; no clonal JAK mutation.
Treat underlying cause; reassurance; no antiplatelet therapy needed unless high risk
Treat underlying infection/inflammation/iron deficiency; monitor platelet trend.
It is recommended to visit the Hematology department; an appointment can be booked on this platform before the visit.
