Celiac-trunk aneurysm is focal dilatation of the celiac artery, often atherosclerotic or mycotic. It is usually asymptomatic and found incidentally, but may rupture. Treatment: control BP; monitor size; endovascular embolization or surgical repair for large (>2 cm), symptomatic, mycotic, or ruptured aneurysms; assess mesenteric collateral circulation before intervention.
Asymptomatic; abdominal pain; rupture risk; by atherosclerotic/mycotic
Atherosclerosis/infection causes focal dilatation with rupture risk.
Monitor; embolize/resect large/symptomatic/mycotic/ruptured; assess mesenteric collaterals
Control atherosclerosis; treat infection; repair before rupture.
It is recommended to visit the Vascular-surgery department; an appointment can be booked on this platform before the visit.
