Rectocele

Rectocele is a special type of outlet-obstructive constipation. The weak anterior rectal wall, rectovaginal septum and posterior vaginal wall bulge forward into the vaginal vault, changing the direction of intra-abdominal pressure during defecation, causing functional rectoanal outlet obstruction and difficult, constipated defecation.

Common Symptoms

Hematochezia; rectal pain; spastic constipation; Zhan Siqiao

Causes

Vaginal delivery compresses and stretches the posterior vaginal wall, loosening the rectovaginal septum; torn puborectalis fibers weaken the septum.

Treatment

Dietary fiber, pelvic floor repair

Prevention

Avoid constipation, pelvic floor training.
