A testicular cyst usually occurs at the testicular head or epididymis and contains much sperm, medically a spermatocele. It can be fairly large with mild or no pain; if very large it causes testicular pain prompting care. Cysts may form in the scrotum and grow large without discomfort, but a doctor should check to exclude tumor. Any age can be affected, commonest over 40. Usually asymptomatic, sometimes scrotal discomfort/dragging or enlargement; usually no treatment, excision when needed.
