Post-head-trauma (post-concussion) syndrome is a constellation of persistent symptoms after mild traumatic brain injury: headache, dizziness, fatigue, irritability, poor concentration/memory, sleep disturbance, and anxiety. Neurologic exam and imaging are usually normal. It is more common after concurrent mood symptoms, compensation claims, and prior headaches. Management: reassurance, gradual return to activity/work, sleep/pain management, and cognitive-behavioral therapy; most resolve within weeks to months.
