骨密度增加、肢体疼痛、间歇性跛行、肌肉萎缩
Osteochondrosis is generally considered epiphyseal necrosis due to local blood supply disturbance. Pathologically these diseases are also called ischemic necrosis, aseptic necrosis, epiphyseal necrosis or osteochondritis of ossification centers, usually called osteochondritis or osteochondrosis. Distinguishing normal variants, growth disturbance and true ischemic necrosis is important for choosing treatment, because their prognosis and outcomes differ completely.
Increased bone density; limb pain; intermittent claudication; muscle atrophy
Most causes are unclear; proposed theories include trauma, heredity and endocrine constitution, fat embolism, increased blood coagulability, raised intraosseous pressure and adipocyte swelling. The mechanism has three phases: ① Necrosis: osteocytes die and disappear, trabeculae atrophy and compress, causing crumbling of the diseased bone. ② Repair: necrotic bone is resorbed, new osteoid calcifies and new bone forms, repairing the lesion. ③ Healing: mild cases fully recover, while severe cases often leave osteoarticular deformity.
