Abdominal pregnancy is a pregnancy in the peritoneal cavity outside the uterus, tube, ovary and broad ligament, a rare ectopic pregnancy. By course it divides into primary (very rare) and secondary. Because the placental site differs from the normal uterine attachment, blood supply is poor and fetal development is poor; only 5%-10% survive to term, most die at various gestational ages, soft tissue absorbed, bone retained or mummified/lithopedion.
