Symptoms

Excessively frequent/strong contractions; fetal bradycardia; tachysystole; labor on oxytocin

Causes

Oxytocin augmentation; uterine hyperstimulation; abruptio placentae.

Treatment

Stop oxytocin; tocolysis (terbutaline); left lateral; oxygen; amnioinfusion; C-section if distress
