Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a persistent lesion starting at the cellular level and ending as pelvic pain and infertility, greatly troubling young women. It means functional endometrial tissue implants outside the uterine cavity; cyclic bleeding of ectopic endometrium with ovarian steroids accumulates blood, secretions and tissue debris; plasma and hemoglobin slowly absorb, surrounding tissue shows inflammation-like reaction, fibrosis, adhesion, folds and scars, forming purple-brown spots/vesicles and finally purple-blue nodules or masses.
