Rupture of a mature follicle or corpus luteum causes wall rupture and bleeding; severe intraperitoneal bleeding is ovarian rupture, so there are follicular and corpus luteum/cyst ruptures. It occurs in married or unmarried women, most common in reproductive age. Unlike other organs (usually external trauma), ovarian rupture is mostly spontaneous. Corpus luteum rupture is dangerous and mostly occurs in the menstrual cycle.
Sudden lower abdominal pain, internal bleeding
Spontaneous rupture of a follicle or corpus luteum cyst; sometimes external force.
Rescue, surgery if bleeding
