NASA scientists have discovered a giant 10-sided board on Saturn.

Recently, there have been several recent developments in the field of international medical health, and these developments continue to attract the attention of the industry and the public. NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has discovered a surprising new feature in Saturn's atmosphere: a huge, ever-evolving 10-faceted storm disk spinning around Saturn's south pole. This is the first time that scientists have observed a large, periodically shaped jet storm pattern in Saturn's southern hemisphere.

Researchers have reconstructed the development process of this feature based on several years of Hubble observations. A new pattern formed on Saturn using several years of Hubble's observations from 2023 to the present to reconstruct the development of the feature. The results of the study were published in the journal Progress on Saturn.

A new pattern contained some uncertainty about the structure before it formed on Saturn. These observations came from the Hubble Exoplanetary Atmosphere Heritage (OPAL) project, which has photographed annual images of the exoplanetary atmosphere for more than a decade. We have never seen anything as unique as this star that has never been absent from Saturn's southern hemisphere.

This feature, unlike the previous one, seems to be strengthening, giving us the opportunity to observe the development of a rare model of the atmosphere. As the Earth moves in a four-season cycle, its south pole is gradually re-visited from Earth. Astronomers from ground-based observational images obtained from ground-based observation stations were the first to realize this unusual structure.

The university operates the Platypus Virtual Observatory Laboratory, which collects ground-based images submitted by Solar System planetary observers on the Earth's surface worldwide. In a 2024 image, Sánchez-Lavega, amateur astronomers Trevor Barry and Jean-Paul Oger observed the dim, wavy bands near Jupiter's south pole. Ground observations in 2025 provided stronger evidence that the feature had evolved into a decimal shape.

Subsequently, the researchers turned to the Hubble Telescope for more detailed observations. Given the symmetry of the Moon in the south-north subduction system, we can capture clearer images of Saturn from space during a full rotation cycle without affecting the image quality of the Moon due to the blurring phenomena caused by the Earth's atmosphere.
