Expert consensus on the role of mild cognitive impairment and the care algorithms and digital interv
A new international medical study has found that the associated findings are of important reference value for disease prevention and control. MCI is a clinically recognised condition, often described as a postpartum dementia, with a risk of further cognitive-cognitive decline. Although no clear diagnostic tests for MCI are currently available, early identification and intervention are important.
To assist ASCEND in the diagnosis and treatment of MCI, ASCEND organized a current and expert advisory workshop on the status and recommendations of MCI research in Asia in December 2019. The main topics of the workshop included the current status of MCI research in Asia, key issues and key research outcomes, and the expert recommendations available in MCI research in Asia. There are many risk factors for cognitive decline that can be changed, and the main means of intervention are multi-disciplinary approaches, including optimizing metabolic health, reducing the risk of cerebrovascular disease, correcting hearing and vision loss, treating depression, encouraging participation in cognitive exercise and social connections, avoiding heart disease, and other health problems that may affect cognitive functioning.
It should be noted that the above are based on international public research findings, for reference in HealthCop, and do not constitute clinical advice.
