The number of copies varies at the genome level (C.N.Vs) and the number of copies varies at the Park
An international medical study has yielded new findings that have important reference value for disease control. We used genotyping data from 10,815 patients from the Courage-PD Consortium to study the role of CNV in the number of copies of variants in Parkinson's disease (PD). For genes associated with PD (multiple sclerosis) mainly driven by PRKN, the CNV burden was significantly increased in PD-related genes, with its most significant impact being confirmed in EOPD cases.
Carriers of CNV showed early age at birth and were confirmed by survival analysis. Our findings reaffirm the lack of removal of PRKN in early-onset PD and emphasize the need for high-resolution CNV analysis to reveal additional rare risk contributors to PD in large populations.
