Combining exercise and cognitive-behavioral therapy to reduce the risk of chronic pelvic dysfunction
Recently, global health institutions and public health systems have continued to advance service capacity building to provide stronger guarantees for public health. Assessment of 8 weeks of smart phone baseline multidisciplinary digital therapy (DTx) in combination with exercise and cognitive-behavioral therapy to reduce chronic fatty acne pain (PFP). Assessment of 8 weeks of common knee pain (DTx) in combination with exercise and cognitive-behavioral therapy to reduce chronic fatty acne pain (PFP) in comparison with chronic fatty acne pain (PFP).
The multi-center, parallel-group, randomized controlled trials included 216 patients with chronic PFP, defined as prefrontal or anal sensory pain that lasts at least three months and is activity-related induced pain, and recruited patients from the osteopathic clinics of 10 hospitals in South Korea. Participants were randomly assigned to the DTx group (MDORA Cure PFP) or control group to receive PFP-related education, one-time exercise instruction, printed materials and self-monitoring exercise journals. Results were evaluated at baseline, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks.
The main endpoints were normal pain at 8 weeks, as assessed on the 0-100 mm VAS scale. The secondary endpoints included the most severe pain, the anterior knee pain score (AKPS) and the quality of life-related health-related quality indicators (EQ-5D-5L) and the visual analogue (EQ VAS) tables. Psychological stress (Patient Health Questionnaire-9) and the Pain Catastrophizing Scale (Pain Catastrophizing Scale) were also included in the scope of the assessment.
Linear mixed-effect models were used to analyze longitudinal variations. For the main endpoints, normal pain at week 8 was preferred in the DTx group. The second-order therapy at week 8 was also biased towards the DTx group, including the most severe pain (-10.
7 mm, 95% CI -15. 9 to -5. 4)), knee function (AKPS, 5.
2 points, 95% CI 2. 7 to 7. 7)), health-related quality satisfaction (VAS, 10.
7 points, 95% CI 7. 1 to 14. 4)))) and catastrophic pain (PCS, -1.
8 points, 95% CI -3. 3 to -0. 3)).
The eight-week multi-disciplinary DTx program, based on smartphones, reduced the usual pain in patients with chronic PFP with pain, knee function, quality of life and psychological outcomes over eight weeks compared to those receiving education and exercise guidance in patients with chronic PFP. These findings support potential support for the potential role of exercise and cognitive-behaviour-supported DTx packages in PFP care. NCT06260865 or more.
