AWaRe-aligned doxycycline-based bismuth quadruple therapy helps with high H
Recently, global medical institutions and public health systems have continued to advance capacity building to provide stronger guarantees for public health. The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed the Access, Watch and Reserve (AWaRe) classification to promote rational antibiotic use and reduce antibiotic resistance. The aim of this study is to evaluate a potential alternative to a bismuth quadruple therapy based on doxycycline (BBQ) that coordinates with this strategy under the conditions of limited tetracycline availability, H.
pylori eradication in settings with limited availability of tetracycline. A forward-looking observational study (October 2023-October 2024) was conducted in adult patients with known H. pylori infections.
Patients received 14 days of treatment with 14 days of edoprolol, Esemprazole, Lich, Amoxicillin, and Doxycycline. The elimination assessment was carried out on the 4th week after treatment through a urine breathing test or tissue pathology assessment. The total number of patients treated with edoprol (esomeprazole) and amoxicillin was 138, including 138 patients in the ITT analysis and 118 patients in the PP/MITT analysis.
The total number of patients treated with edoprol (esomeprazole) and amoxicillin was 138, including 138 patients in the ITT analysis and 118 patients in the PP/MITT analysis. The total number of cases of edoprolol (esomeprazole) and amoxicillin (amoxicillin) was 138, including 138 patients in the ITT analysis and 118 patients in the PP/mITT analysis. In the PP/mITT population, the cure rate after treatment-nave patients was 94.
5%, 85. 7% after treatment-nave patients failed once, and 61. 5% after treatment-nave patients failed twice or more.
Minor adverse events (7. 6%); 92. 4% of patients reported clinical improvement; this WARe-aligned doxycycline-based quadruple therapy reached or exceeded acceptable cure rates of 94.
